Silent disco public events: the crowd dances, the city stays calm
Silent disco public events bring big crowds together on harbourfront promenades, in parks, malls and public squares without flooding the neighbourhood with noise. The music stays in the headphones.

Public space in Hong Kong is shared space. A harbourfront promenade sits beside hotels and flats, a mall atrium echoes through every floor, and a park in Sha Tin or Tsuen Wan has housing estates all around. Organisers of community festivals, mall campaigns, cultural nights and district celebrations want energy and participation without complaints. A silent disco delivers both: hundreds of people dancing together, while passers-by and residents hear only the laughter.
The format suits a mall's Christmas or Lunar New Year campaign, a pop-up on a pedestrian street, a night at a harbourfront venue, a sports or charity fun day, or a silent walking tour where a guide speaks on one channel. With up to three channels you can mix music for different ages, add announcements or offer a second language. Organisers keep full control of the programme; we supply the headphones, the transmitters and, on request, assistance with delivery, set-up and technicians. Because every visitor controls the volume, the experience stays comfortable for children and older residents, and the sound never competes with traffic, shops or a neighbouring stage. It is a simple way to turn a busy weekend footfall into an event people remember.
Why silent disco suits public events
Works in any space
Promenades, piers, parks, atriums and squares: wherever people can gather, they can dance.
Respectful of neighbours
In a dense city, keeping amplified sound low is part of being a good organiser.
Inclusive
Families, teenagers and older residents choose their channel and their volume and join the same event.
Three programmes
Music, a guided tour, announcements or a second language can run on separate channels.
Wide range
Up to 500 metres of range for a crowd spread along a promenade or across a park.
Managed returns
Distribution and return points, with ID or deposit, keep the kit under control.

How many headphones for a public event?
For public events, size the kit on the number of people dancing at the same time, not on total footfall. A mall activation with rotating groups may need 100–200 headphones; a harbourfront night with thousands of visitors may need 500–1,000.
- Up to 200 headphones: HK$7,500–8,800, indicative.
- Up to 500 headphones: HK$15,000–17,600, indicative.
- Up to 1,000 headphones: HK$25,500–35,000, indicative.
- Transmitters: TX-500 for large areas, TX-330 where there is no power.
- Assistance: delivery, set-up and technicians are quoted separately.

Tips for public silent disco events
- Time slots: run 30–45 minute sessions so more people get a turn.
- Visible station: a branded tent or counter with clear signs in English and Chinese.
- ID or deposit: the simplest way to get every headphone back.
- Weather plan: outdoor events from October to April are the safest bet; in summer, have a covered option and keep an eye on rainstorm and typhoon warnings.
- Channel for announcements: keep one channel for the host, safety notes and the programme.
- Accessibility: the individual volume control helps visitors who find loud speakers uncomfortable.
- Permits: check the venue's and the public space's requirements in good time; the headphones handle the sound, not the paperwork.

Do you organise the event for us?
No. We supply headphones, transmitters and, on request, assistance with technicians. The programme, the permits and the DJs are the organiser's.
How do we get the headphones back?
With clear return points, an ID or deposit at distribution and staff at the exit. We help you plan the flow.
Can one channel carry announcements or another language?
Yes. Each channel is independent: music on one, a host or a guide on another, a translation on the third.
