Silent disco West Kowloon: culture, lawns and harbour air
A silent disco in West Kowloon matches the spirit of Hong Kong's newest cultural quarter: open lawns, harbour views and music that stays in your guests' headphones. Three channels, charged and ready.

West Kowloon has changed the way Hong Kong spends its evenings. The West Kowloon Cultural District brings together M+, the Hong Kong Palace Museum, the Xiqu Centre and the Art Park, with lawns sloping down to the harbour. Further north, the towers around Elements and the International Commerce Centre add offices, hotels and residential blocks. It is a place for picnics, performances and gatherings, where a headphone party feels natural and keeps the waterfront pleasant for everyone else.
Silentsystem works on more than 1,200 events a year, from city squares to concert halls, and has been the technical partner of Rockin'1000 since 2015. Your West Kowloon kit comes from our New Territories warehouse and arrives one or two days before the event. For large outdoor events we also offer rental with assistance, including set-up and technicians on the night. Thinking bigger? See our festival with headphones page.
Where to hold a silent disco in West Kowloon
West Kowloon mixes cultural venues, parkland and big commercial towers. Here are a few places where headphones make sense.
Art Park and the harbourfront lawns
The Art Park and the waterfront lawns of the cultural district are favourite spots for open-air gatherings. A silent disco there respects both the setting and the people relaxing nearby.
Venues in the cultural district
Spaces such as Freespace and the area around the Xiqu Centre host performances and private events. Headphones help when several activities share the same evening.
Elements and the ICC area
Hotels, offices and the mall around Elements and the International Commerce Centre suit corporate receptions with a dance floor that fits in a function room.
Residential clubhouses
Large developments in West Kowloon have clubhouses and podium gardens. A headphone party lets residents celebrate without disturbing the towers above.

Festivals and public programmes
Open-air programmes can split audiences across three channels, giving each corner of the lawn its own sound. More on public events.
Silent concerts and performances
Inspired by projects such as the Yamaha Silent Experience, a concert on headphones gives every listener studio-quality sound, even in the open air.

Silent disco in West Kowloon: FAQ
Can you supply a large public event in West Kowloon?
Yes. We supply up to 1,000 headphones and more on request, with rental with assistance for complex events.
Do we need power on the lawn?
Not necessarily. The TX-330 transmitter has a built-in battery, and the headphones run for up to 10 hours.
Can we split the audience into groups?
Yes. Three channels let you run three programmes at once, and each headset shows its channel colour.
Do we need permission for an outdoor event?
Outdoor spaces are managed by their operators, and their approval is up to you. Headphones make that conversation easier because the sound stays contained.
Do you provide performers or a DJ?
No. You bring the artists or the playlist; we provide the equipment and, if you like, technicians.
When is the best season for an outdoor silent disco?
Roughly October to April, when evenings are cooler and drier.
