Silent disco festival stages: the party runs on after dark
A silent disco festival stage keeps the music going when the main stages have to switch off, with hundreds or thousands of headphones and three channels in one tent.

Festivals in Hong Kong face a particular challenge: the best sites, on the harbourfront in West Kowloon or Wan Chai, in country parks or on campus lawns, are surrounded by hotels, homes and offices. Amplified sound has limits and the main stage usually wraps up early. A silent disco stage extends the programme into the night, and it avoids the sound bleed between stages that spoils many multi-stage events.
Three DJs play at the same time on three channels, and the crowd chooses. The LED on each headphone glows in the colour of the chosen channel, making the tent a spectacle in itself. The format also works for university O-camps and orientation weeks, food and music festivals, and the dry-season outdoor events from October to April. For big events we offer rental with assistance: delivery, set-up, technicians on site and management of the headphone flow. Because the music sits in the headphones, a silent stage can be placed closer to homes, hotels or a campsite than any conventional stage, and it can keep running when everything else has gone quiet. For organisers it is also a flexible zone: daytime workshops, silent yoga or a guided tour on one channel, a DJ set on the others.
Why festivals choose a silent disco stage
Music after curfew
When the main stages stop, the silent disco keeps going inside the site's permitted hours.
No sound bleed
Stages can sit close together without interfering, because the sound stays in the headphones.
Three DJs, one stage
A built-in DJ battle: guests switch channel and the colours show who is winning.
For every audience
Individual volume control makes it comfortable for families, students and older visitors.
The festival photo
A tent full of glowing headphones becomes the image everyone shares.
Scalable and reliable
From a 200-person tent to thousands of headphones, with spares and quality control on every unit.
Planning your festival silent disco
Define the stage and capacity
Expected attendance, opening hours and site layout determine how many headphones and transmitters you need.
Plan the headphone flow
Distribution points, deposits, returns and charging between nights, especially for multi-day festivals.
Run it every night
Our technicians can support set-up and the evenings; your DJs bring the music.
Sizing headphones for a festival
Size the kit for the capacity of the silent disco area at its peak. A tent holding 400 people needs around 400–500 headphones, because some are always in rotation at the return point.
- Up to 500 headphones: HK$15,000–17,600, indicative, single event.
- Up to 1,000 headphones: HK$25,500–35,000, indicative.
- Larger numbers: quoted on request from the Silentsystem group fleet.
- Transmitters: TX-500 for large open areas, TX-330 where there is no mains power.
- Multi-day: a full charge takes about 4 hours; the battery lasts up to 10.
Delivery within Hong Kong, assistance and technicians are quoted separately. See prices and rental formulas.
Tips for a festival silent disco
- Deposits work: an ID or deposit at distribution keeps losses minimal.
- Signage: show which colour plays what, in English and Chinese.
- Charging plan: for multi-day events, set up a charging area in a dry, covered place.
- Weather: humidity and sudden rain are part of Hong Kong; cover the transmitters and the distribution tent.
- Timetable: publish the DJs on each channel in the festival app or on boards.
- Queue management: separate lines for collection and returns.
- Peak hour: plan staff for the moment the main stage closes and everyone heads to the silent tent.

Questions about: festivals
How many headphones can you supply for a festival?
Up to 1,000 headphones is a standard request; larger numbers are quoted from the Silentsystem group fleet of more than 50,000.
Do you provide technicians on site?
Yes, with rental with assistance: delivery, set-up and technicians on the night, quoted separately.
Can headphones be charged during a multi-day festival?
Yes. Chargers are included; a full charge takes about 4 hours and the battery lasts up to 10.
Is there any delay between headphones?
No. The transmitters send the signal to every headphone in real time, so the whole crowd hears the music at the same moment.
Do you also book the DJs?
No. We supply headphones and transmitters; the line-up is up to the organiser.
