Silent disco in Wan Chai

Silent disco Wan Chai: from expo halls to late-night bars

A silent disco in Wan Chai turns a convention evening, a bar takeover or a hotel party into a headphone party that keeps the neighbours on side. Choose from three channels; we deliver the kit charged.

Wan Chai never quite switches off. By day the convention centre fills with trade fairs and conferences; by night Lockhart Road and Jaffe Road take over, while Star Street and Ship Street offer smaller, quieter corners. Tower blocks of flats rise right above the bars, so sound travels in every direction. Silent disco headphones send the music straight to each guest, which means you can run a full dance floor without testing anybody's patience upstairs.

The Silentsystem fleet counts more than 50,000 headphones across the group and serves over 10,000 clients worldwide. For Wan Chai we load your order at our New Territories warehouse and bring it to the venue one or two days ahead, so there is time to unpack and try everything. Three channels also make the kit useful beyond dancing: one stream in English, one in Cantonese and one in Putonghua for a multilingual reception. See how it fits a corporate event.

Venues

Where to hold a silent disco in Wan Chai

From the waterfront to the old lanes of Wan Chai, the best spaces are rarely the loudest ones.

Around the Convention and Exhibition Centre

Function rooms and hotels around the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre host countless exhibitor parties. A silent disco lets one hall serve as a networking space and a dance floor at the same time.

Wan Chai Harbourfront

The promenade between Golden Bauhinia Square and the Wan Chai ferry pier has wide harbour views. It suits relaxed sunset gatherings where guests tune in and out as they please.

Bars on Lockhart and Jaffe Road

Many bars here share walls with residential buildings. A headphone night keeps the music pumping inside without turning up the speakers.

Star Street and Ship Street

The small restaurants and galleries of the Star Street area are ideal for private dinners that end with dancing. The headphones fold away neatly when the tables need space again.

Occasions

Exhibitor and conference afterparties

After a long day on a stand, teams want to unwind close by. A silent party in a nearby hotel or bar keeps the group together and the volume manageable.

Bar takeovers and theme nights

Three DJs can play at once, one per channel, and the crowd votes with its headphones. Explore more formats on our clubs and bars page.

Hotel weddings and banquets

Wan Chai's hotels host many wedding banquets. Once the speeches are over, headphones let the younger guests dance while older relatives keep chatting at the tables.

For bigger groups, up to 200 headphones cost an indicative HK$7,500–8,800. All bands are on the prices page.

Frequently asked questions

Silent disco in Wan Chai: FAQ

Can you deliver to a hotel near the convention centre?

Yes. We deliver from our New Territories warehouse one or two days before the event. Let us know the hotel's receiving times and we plan around them.

Can the headphones carry translation as well as music?

Yes. Each headset has three channels, so you can send different languages or programmes to different guests at the same event.

Is a silent disco suitable for a bar under flats?

It is one of the best uses. The music stays in the headphones, which helps with residents above. Your venue's own rules still apply.

How long do the batteries last?

Up to 10 hours per headphone, which covers a full evening from cocktails to closing time.

Do you organise the party for us?

No. We supply the equipment, and you bring your DJ or playlist. For complex events we can add delivery, set-up and technicians.

Are the headphones clean?

Yes. Every headphone is cleaned and sanitised before each rental.
